Applicants should prepare:

Totaling no more than five (5) minutes:

  • An All-Region excerpt, or, a piece of your choice

  • Two 3-octave scales* memorized
    one scale should be Major
    one scale should be melodic minor

  • *Students auditioning on double bass should prepare two 2-octave scales.
    one scale should be Major
    one scale should be melodic minor

Applicants should expect to sight-read as well.
